Credentials
What you can put in front of your own leadership
None of the four items below are marketing claims. They are the specific, checkable facts a meeting planner uses to defend a booking before it happens, not after.
Certified Speaking Professional
CSP is awarded by the National Speakers Association, and Arnold's own site notes that fewer than 850 speakers worldwide hold it. It requires a documented track record of paid, well reviewed presentations over years, not a weekend course.
MBA, and forty years in the room
He founded Sanow Professional Development in 1985. Since then he has delivered more than 2,500 paid presentations to over 500 different organizations, from Fortune 500 companies to federal agencies to associations.
Evaluated, not just booked
His own published figures put his average evaluation score between 4.8 and 5.0 out of 5.0, with a 96 out of 100 evaluation rating on record, and more than 90 percent of the organizations he has worked with rebook him or refer him to someone else.
Recognized by the people who book speakers
Successful Meetings magazine named him one of the top five best value speakers in the USA. He has been voted Outstanding Speaker of the Year by Meeting Planners International, Washington DC chapter, and separately by his own peers at the National Speakers Association, Washington DC chapter.
Before he was full time on the road
Georgetown, AT&T, Intuit, and a stack of national press
Arnold was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and served as national spokesperson for both AT&T and Intuit. He has appeared on CBS Evening News and ABC World Morning News, and been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Washington Post and Time Magazine, across more than 1,000 articles and interviews.

How he actually works
He tailors the program before he shows up, and stays after
- Step 1
Before he says yes
Arnold asks what is actually going wrong in the room before he agrees to speak. If a program is not the right fit for the group, he says so rather than taking the date anyway.
- Step 2
Before the date
He talks with organizers, and often with a handful of participants, and rebuilds the examples in the program so they are the group's own. This is where most of his preparation time goes, not on the slides.
- Step 3
On the day
He arrives early rather than walking in at call time, and meets attendees at the door as they come in. Karl Reedy of the Virginia Department of Transportation wrote that seeing this on the first day told him they had picked the right trainer.
- Step 4
After the session
He stays in the room once the session ends instead of packing up and leaving, sends a summary email to attendees, and offers a debrief with leadership on what he saw and what he would work on next.

What it is actually like to work with him
Planners write about the person, not just the presentation
“Arnold does an excellent job of listening to the client's needs, tailoring his presentation and absolutely exceeding their expectations. I have received many spin-offs from his original appearances for our clients and these have resulted in additional bookings.”
“When I saw you greeting attendees at the door on the first day, I knew we had hit a home run in selecting you as our trainer.”
“Arnold, your advice really works! Our business was doing OK, but Arnold helped us go to the next level. He literally gave us the tools we needed and showed us how to adapt and apply them to get the kind of results we wanted. Not only that, he is a joy to work with.”
